How long have you played on CHOMPstation?: Half a year.

About how long have you been playing SS13 in general? Which servers have you played on?: Almost a year, I've played on TGStation, Vorestation, & many miscellaneous stations.

How do you quit the round and free up your job slot if you can't get to cyro or the gateway? Simply clock out as off-duty, Ghost & Leave the round, or ask in Admin help for assistance.

Heads of Staff:

-While playing Colony Director, what regulations are you to follow and enforce on the crew? Follow & Enforce Corporate Regulations and Standard Operating Procedure

-While playing any head of staff, are you allowed to carry guns on your person? Only The CD, HoS, and HoP (Energy pistol only) are allowed to wear concealed weaponry on their figure. Otherwise any other Head of Staff are forbidden of possession of firearms unless in emergencies or in explicit permission of CD or HoS.

-You are the current Chief of Engineering, what are the regulations on ‘Full-station hull shields’? They may be activated as precautionary if there is a possibility of an external threat as long as they don't drain excessive power & prevent continued access for crew function.

-As the current Chief Medical Officer, your patient is refusing treatment. What should you do? Must abide their request of refusal in any circumstance such as death unless they are mentally hampered or hindered to make such decision such as alcoholic means.

Warden/Head of Security:

-As the current Warden on station, what is your main responsibility? Ensure the security & processes of the Brig & Armory such as prisoner management, treatment, & release.

-Station has been set to ‘code blue’, what level of gear are you allowed to handout and to whom? Once HoS gives explicit permission or clearance; Riot Gear, Energy Weapons, and Laser Weapons are to be given out to Security Personal.

-What is the first thing one should do when confronting a suspect of a low level crime? Inform them of the crime & reasoning of such in an orderly manner. If applicable, fines can be put in place as punishment.

-You find the Head of Personnel within the armory, how does one engage this situation? Unless with valid reasoning or confirmed request, they are to be taken in for trespassing and processed with applicable punishment.

Cyborgs/AI:

-You are currently playing as a borg and your laws are changed to harm crew and the station. How do you respond? Follow such laws to the best extent abiding by server rules and following OOC boundaries & preferences.

-As a borg on station, what rules should you always follow in public? All of your current given laws.

-You logged in as an AI, are you considered a "Head of Staff"? No, the AI does not have authority or administration over crew & is simply an assistant to the crew members.

-As the current AI on station, you suddenly gain a law during an "Ion storm". What do you do? Similarly to the first question, follow such law to the best extent, but continue to follow OOC boundaries & preferences.

What do you know of their mechanics?: They can shift between a blob and their solid form, they can edit various features of their appearance at-will, as well as regenerate (assuming they've eaten enough metal to do so).

What do you know of their lore?: They don't really have any one specific origin, more of a general evolution of how synthetics would progress. Since nanites in NIFs (and the like) already existed, it isn't too much of stretch to simply make an entire creature out of nanites.

What idea did you have for your character?: A golden fluffy dragon, ""composed"" of some goo/liquid/something along those lines. Mostly using the protean race to help enforce the idea I have for the character. He'd be seven feet tall, extremely fluffy and have a propensity to completely encase people within himself. Other lorebits are typically on a "as I think of them" basis, though I can answer a few things if needed.

How long have you played on CHOMPstation?:
Been around on the discord for about a month ish so far?

About how long have you been playing SS13 in general? Which servers have you played on?:
I've been playing ss13 since about 2015 ish. As for a list of servers:
Vore
Cit (RP and Main)
Yawn-Wider
ARFS
Apollo
Deiselpunk (downstream of Sojourn)
Mithra
Bastion of Hesita
AEIOU
Hyper Station 13
Shadow Station
Eris

How do you quit the round and free up your job slot if you can't get to cryo or the gateway?
Ahelp and poke a admin.

Heads of Staff:
-While playing Colony Director, what regulations are you to follow and enforce on the crew?
CR and SOP. Though CR technically should be left to Security.

-While playing any head of staff, are you allowed to carry guns on your person?
Only HOS, HOP, And CD. As far as I know the CMO, RD, and CE aren't allowed. And the HOP only is ment to carry the supplied personal defense gear from their locker.

-You are the current Chief of Engineering, what are the regulations on ‘Full-station hull shields’?
Unless required, do not run if they block stuff. Docking ports, mass drivers, ECT.
Can be built ahead of time as long as it doesn't destroy the power grid.

-As the current Chief Medical Officer, your patient is refusing treatment. What should you do
Make sure they're properly informed about what they're choosing to do.
Of their own valition.
If they continue to refuse treatment it's their right to refuse.

Warden/Head of Security:
-As the current Warden on station, what is your main responsibility?
sit on your ass like a laz- gaurd the armory and prison. You're not a officer, you are the warden.

-Station has been set to ‘code blue’, what level of gear are you allowed to handout and to whom?
On code blue, the warden and HoS may hand out riot gear and energy guns to security.

-What is the first thing one should do when confronting a suspect of a low level crime?
First make sure you know what the charge is. Worst mistake is to say the wrong one. Secondonly is to ask them to pay the fine which pretty much all low level crimes have attached.
if the fine is paid, then that's done. Hand over the dosh to your bossman. If the fine is refused, then arrest.

-You find the Head of Personnel within the armory, how does one engage this situation
tell them to get out. And arrest, search and charge. Unless they have a actual urgent reason for breaking protocall

Cyborgs/AI:
-You are currently playing as a borg and your laws are changed to harm crew and the station. How do you respond?
This question is so loaded. I have no real good answer besides poke a admin? Is this a event or just some random griefer?

-As a borg on station, what rules should you always follow in public?
Follow your laws and behave properly like a normal borgo butt? (I really don't play borgs so this is a bit tricky for me to really answer)

-You logged in as an AI, are you considered a "Head of Staff"?
no. You're literally bottom of the barrel besides stationbound cyborgs.

-As the current AI on station, you suddenly gain a law during an "Ion storm". What do you do?
State laws. As long as it isn't going against your laws to do so.

What do you know of their mechanics?: They are entities that phase in and out between the "Dark", Real Space, and Red Space. They regenerate energy from darkness or eating food. Some abilities such as 'Heal Other' and 'Create Shade' can be used as well for different effects.

What do you know of their lore?: The shadekin are an enigmatic race that many in real space have little knowledge about given their elusiveness. They phase in and out in random intervals and are hard to contain due to this. So study is effectively impossible unless they allow it. They live in a dimension known as the "Dark" which goes off the perception of those within. They grow what's known as the "Hub" by collecting ideals from other places. Their physical traits are affected by what areas they stay within the longest. Blue eyes stay within real space and are generally harmless and peaceful. Red eyes tend to be more aggressive in their desires and some sometimes be considered hostile. Green eyes stay within the 'Dark'. There are mixed colors as well. They also prefer to 'speak' to one another through sheer emotion, usually expressed by their eyes and ears. They rarely have names, but go off deeds if they do receive a name.

What idea did you have for your character?: Quic (Since they don't know exactly how to spell it themselves) has previously visited the station a few times. Given the name by the crew due to their speed and elusiveness within the tunnels. Purple-eyed in nature, it with toy and often mess with the crew, though not maliciously. Quic draws more from their blue, passive nature. However loves to indulge in their desires to toy with 'prey', who is simply just their target for the moment. Popping in, giving them pats, hugs, licks, or maybe just to give them a gift. Likely to be seen traveling the maintenance tunnels in search of mice or other prey to keep their hunger at bay. Quite possibly to join Cargo at some point, since they can hang out in an area away from others and turn off most of the lights in there unless needed to do so otherwise.

What do you know of their mechanics?: They are nanite slimes that can regenerate damage and limbs using stored materials from absorbing iron, but only when they turn into a goopy state to do so, and apparently here have their ventcrawling traded for a hardsuit feature of some sort. They also suffer from a case of 'you can't exactly revive them' easily, though my knowledge of them is admittedly mostly from Virgo lore.

What do you know of their lore?: They're pretty rare, heavily regulated, and carefully watched due to the danger they could pose, but are also typically looked at as potential study subjects if they allow it.

What idea did you have for your character?: I've run with Sharknet as an organic pretty much whenever I had to, turning to flavor text and markings to help show off the synthetic markings she has that more or less broadcast the fact that she's not organic, even though everything to her - from behavior to activities - one would be forgiven for thinking she was simply organic with abnormal tattoos. The reason being is that, despite being synthetic, she grew and learned from organic environments, and in a bid to understand many things, started to copy them until they became natural habit, so she eats, sleeps, and complains about time lost due to sleep like anybody might. She also tends to consider actually taking advantage of her natural abilities to be less 'solid' and be more of a large blob cheating when it comes to getting through spaces like doors or narrow hallways, as to her, part of the appeal of being large and round is the challenges it presents - but in an emergency, she's not afraid to drop it and aim for more optimal efforts in the name of saving a life.

How long have you played on CHOMPstation?: 3 years+

About how long have you been playing SS13 in general? Which servers have you played on?: 3 years+, Virgo, Chomp

How do you quit the round and free up your job slot if you can't get to cryo or the gateway? Ahelp, ghost, smack quit this round verb.

Heads of Staff:
-While playing Colony Director, what regulations are you to follow and enforce on the crew? Corp Regs, SOP, within reason.

-While playing any head of staff, are you allowed to carry guns on your person? CD can carry one firearm, non-explosive; body armour allowed, although recommended not to get into frays; collapsible baton or stunbaton, not both.

HOP can only have the weapons given to them in the locker in their office. Anything more may merit a contraband charge unless acting in an acting CD capacity, but this is not encouraged.

HOS can have lethals but only within Security, unless concealed inside a bag. Non-explosives are allowed. Having a nonlethal firearm is recommended in inclusion to a lethal firearm.

Any other heads aren't allowed weapons, however RD may have them only within the Research department under the Contraband Policy. A note that they can carry a flash supplied to them for self-defence.

-You are the current Chief of Engineering, what are the regulations on ‘Full-station hull shields’? Shields are fine if they don't cut into power supply and that they don't block access to and from vital areas such as EVA points, SM ejection, and so on. Diffusers have been placed at such areas, however, so hull shields may freely be set up.

-As the current Chief Medical Officer, your patient is refusing treatment. What should you do? Not force treatment on them unless they are clearly incapacitated and not able to think clearly enough to make an informed decision.

Warden/Head of Security:
-As the current Warden on station, what is your main responsibility? Oversight of the Armoury, recommended not to patrol unless the only active security on station.

-Station has been set to ‘code blue’, what level of gear are you allowed to handout and to whom? Energy, laser guns, riot gear allowed to be given out only with blessing from Warden/HOS, and these are able to be distributed only to fellow security staff.

-What is the first thing one should do when confronting a suspect of a low level crime? Offer them a chance to pay a fine. If refused, arresting is recommended. Search not allowed unless part of the recommended low-level crime sentences. A fine can then be turned in to the HOS, HOP, or CD.

-You find the Head of Personnel within the armory, how does one engage this situation? Lethal force is authorised but if possible, attempt to request them to leave, taking action only if they don't stand down and not put any illegally obtained weapons back in the armoury.

Cyborgs/AI:
-You are currently playing as a borg and your laws are changed to harm crew and the station. How do you respond? Ahelp if the law's going to break a server rule, or possibly ruin someone's fun. The latter scenario is likely void should the law change be during an antag event.

-As a borg on station, what rules should you always follow in public? Follow own lawset, or AI's lawset if slaved to it.

-You logged in as an AI, are you considered a "Head of Staff"? No. AI are basically property, and required to follow their lawset.

-As the current AI on station, you suddenly gain a law during an "Ion storm". What do you do? Try to follow it the best ya can unless it conflicts with another of your laws or causes major trouble for station/crew, or breaks prefs.

What do you know of their mechanics?: Protean are nano swarms able to take on appearances of other species, become suits for crew to wear to survive in space, and become blobs when put into critical condition.  They are immune to the vacuum of space, have brute resistance and weakness to fire.  I believe they can heal by consuming steel sheets too!  I have also seen some of the recent balancing tweaks to them, and I am happy they do not have the ability to vent crawl anymore!

What do you know of their lore?:  Not entirely certain save for the small blurb in selecting the species on character creation.  I don't believe I was able to find a wiki page about them, but from what I've gathered, they are highly advanced technological constructs that are incredibly rare and virtually unheard of.

What idea did you have for your character?:  I hope to play as a synthetic body copy of a crew member who was consumed during a chaos event.  The goal was to escape from red space by swapping places with someone in real space, and I was fortunate enough to find someone willing to trade places with my artificer cult construct before the server crashed!  Rayaka's memories will have been corrupted and merged slightly with her prey, with much of the knowledge about their time in red space being largely lost to avoid any issues when role playing.  I plan to play the character as a researcher, though, who seeks to make sense of what their fragmented memories mean.  Basically I hope to have an interesting protean character that's able to shapeshift and have some fun encasing prey for some teasing vore scenes!  If there's any changes I need to make to this plan, I'm happy to adjust things if asked!

How long have you played on CHOMPstation?:  A couple of months now

About how long have you been playing SS13 in general? Which servers have you played on?:  Too long.  7+ years now but a lot of intermittency in between.  About 3 years continuously.  Started on Goon and Paradise back in the day and quickly went to the original Baystation.  Joined staff with them and left after a little bit.

How do you quit the round and free up your job slot if you can't get to cryo or the gateway?:  I'm going to assume this means my character is physically incapable of doing such so I would Ahelp the reason for such and follow directions. If none are available, ghost > quit the round.

Heads of Staff:
-While playing Colony Director, what regulations are you to follow and enforce on the crew?

SOP and Corporate Regulations

-While playing any head of staff, are you allowed to carry guns on your person?

Colony Director - Yes.  1 non explosive lethal weapon and their standard issue energy pistol
Head of Personnel - Yes.  Energy pistol and their obvious stun baton and flash
Head of Security - Yes.  May carry multiples but is expected to at least carry a tazer or other form of ranged non-lethal as well
Research Director - No, but may have weapons while in science used for scientific purposes and shouldn't carry them out of science without prior permission
Other Heads - Not normally.  Extenuating circumstances may change this but should consult the Colony Director or HoS first and obtain them through the proper channels.  I couldn't find much about this in the rules, I have seen all heads be issued energy weapons before on other servers.  Pretty sure that isn't the case here!

-You are the current Chief of Engineering, what are the regulations on ‘Full-station hull shields’?

If the situation requires it and they are not blocking essential facilities, full shields may be activated and done such early enough so that they may offer protection early instead of too late.  Power must also be taken into consideration before activation assuring it will not detract from power usage.  That said, I've seen a lot of people just enable these pretty much every round and as long as it doesn't block anything I don't see the harm in it with valid reason.  Sometimes you might not get them plugged in fast enough before the meteors arrive!

-As the current Chief Medical Officer, your patient is refusing treatment. What should you do

Patients must have the mental capacity to refuse treatment.  If someone is of sound decision and can understand and process information and is not a risk to themselves (ie. suicidal) then their right to refuse treatment must be respected.

Warden/Head of Security:
-As the current Warden on station, what is your main responsibility?

Prisoner intake and sentencing, prisoner monitoring and armory.  You do not give out weapons unless the appropriate heads or situation calls for it.

-Station has been set to ‘code blue’, what level of gear are you allowed to handout and to whom?

Code blue is a potential internal threat:

  • Security may have weapons visible, but not drawn unless needed.
  • Energy guns, laser guns and riot gear are allowed to be given out to security personnel with clearance from the Warden or HoS.
  • Body Armour and helmets are recommended but not mandatory.
  • Random body and workplace searches are allowed without warrant.
As SOP states, you may hand out energy guns, laser guns and riot gear but SHOULD clear this with the HoS first.

-What is the first thing one should do when confronting a suspect of a low level crime?

Talk them down first.  Attempt to reason and explain the situation and that they may pay a fine and if they do, no further punishment is necessary.  Consider removing them from the situation to give them some privacy as a lot of people will pout in front of others.  If they refuse to pay the fine, advise them they will be arrested and given a brig sentence, and if they again refuse, arrest and hand over to the warden for intake.

-You find the Head of Personnel within the armory, how does one engage this situation?

As they are the HoP, they are to be ordered to leave the armory and immediately arrested.  If they provide a reason for breaching protocol and not notifying the Warden or HoS first then I would pass this up the chain if someone was on and release them.

Cyborgs/AI:
-You are currently playing as a borg and your laws are changed to harm crew and the station. How do you respond?

There are several ways to go about this.  If there are no laws that give some kind of loophole to this then you have to oblige but it's best not to be a jerk about it.  Try not to LRP attack and kill people for no reason and instead try to create roleplay.  Perhaps beat up parts of the station first and when people try to stop you intelligently go about fending them off.  Could run around and as long as people have no preference against it, eat and digest the crew etc.  The big thing is to just try and make RP for it if you can!

-As a borg on station, what rules should you always follow in public?

Your laws are the big one.  The other is that you are a cyborg...  Meaning you should act somewhat robotic and that you are there to work with the crew and are not above them.  In fact, cyborgs can be ordered around by the crew with good reason so you should try to listen to others as long as their orders don't conflict with your laws.

-You logged in as an AI, are you considered a "Head of Staff"?

No.  The AI follows the lawsets just like the cyborgs do.  The only ones the AI can order around are cyborgs that are bound to them.

-As the current AI on station, you suddenly gain a law during an "Ion storm". What do you do?

I like to play these up in a funny way.  If the rest of your laws are not affected then one would logically report it to the heads of staff unless the law directly states it's not to be told.  Otherwise if you decide to not report it, don't be a jerk with it and have some fun with it instead.  Me personally, I tend to report it to get fixed.

--- RACE WHITELISTING ---

What do you know of their mechanics?:

Bacterial colony species that formed into a solid humanoid mass, a mixture of parts stolen and hybridized from prey.
Using nutrition to stabilize and regenerate the colony, prey can substitute if they need a boost of nutrition. (Surprisingly Virus food doesn't work on them?)
In Their feral state security can "tase" them, but it would be better to just get them all pissy and run off into the maints. (mostly due to IC and OOC separation issues, and people getting confused why a feral animal is barking at them)
In most cases they'll revolve around maint predding.

Mechanically though, they're immune to bacteria have low comfort with the cold (which will be fun for RP). They hallucinate when no one is around and something is wrong with them. They get constant messages reminding them to act feral, and they have a hibernation state. Something that takes 4-20 minutes depending on their nutrition level, and can allow the xenochimera to "morph" in game based on what they ate (what was changed in their save slot)

What do you know of their lore?:

Origins unknown but presumed to be sourced as "that colony of bacteria you hear about on some lifeless planet".
Not much else is known about them, making them a sought after commodity by xeno-biologists. Medical and Security have minor briefings on them, but more to handle their feral aspects.  (OOC doubt anyone will know much about them either). They have feral bouts when they're placed in a danger state, or hybernative slurry states when they're touched by the cold.  A fair amount of subtle things and not so subtle things where they act like wild animal.
They're also Messy.

What idea did you have for your character?:

Create a new blankish looking character that ate a human and then work from there.
Keep them more distant with an Identity crisis. Away from command positions and more of a pension for Feral Predding outbursts.
I kind of want to lean in with the Mimicry aspect, Have them hide their appendages and try and "blend in" more.
Might want to actually start up a new character with this, or simply evolve their appearance over time.
Possibly blending in appendages of victims (prey) to a hodge podge of different aspects. Making them dramatically evolve over time.

In most cases, I'll be using the "traditional" gullet unless someones into melty digestion. Just because that's more of a fan favorite and doubly easier to describe.
Plan on having separate vore panels, potentially new ones each time they get a new part.

The one issue I have is the whole "feral" aspect would almost encourage Self antagging. but that can also just be scene leaning. Potentially have them be an exploration member, have them get banged up a lot. Then when they come back, they'll be on the hunt for whatever they can find. The only issue of course being that they're rather Robust, and robust exploration would be eh. The other option would be a shaft miner, Janitor, or some lower form of security.
Leaning shaft miner as well. Due to their phobia of the cold, that will give me ample opportunity to have them covered in as many layers of clothing as possible, goggles face masks. All sorts of things to keep the cold away from their body. Then to re-emerge with whatever new appendages they have when they jump their prey. She'll be quieter in her non-feral state. Think "The thing" where she just looms and grunts with little word outside of a few signals.

Proteans are basically synth prommies, they also eat metal can transform into blobs that can stealth by resting, eat steel sheets and be kinda adorable.
They are forced to turn into a blob when critted.
They're immune to vaccuum, strong against brute and weak against fire.

What do you know of their lore?:
Proteans have no exact canon lore here, only that they're a bunch of nanites that form into one big person.
They're also great in your protein shakes apparently uwu

Probably something along the lines of a cute gooey synth slime girl, probably for working at medbay.
