About how long have you been playing on the server?:
Few Months.

About how long have you been playing SS13 in general? And which servers have you played on?:
Just this one, just the amount of time I've been on this server.

Head of Staff Department:

  1. If you are playing captain, what are some of the key departments you should know?
All of them. Need to understand how cargo works and what cargo can do for any department in need. Need to understand how engineering works and what engineering can do for every other department. Need to understand what science can do and how it can help other departments. Need to know what medical is capable of producing for any situation that it is required for. Finally, need to know what security is capable of handling and when it is time for security to do it's thing. However, at no point does the captain need to know how to do these jobs. Only what the jobs are capable of doing.
  2. You sign on as a low ranking head of staff (I.E. CMO, RD, CE, HOS), and find yourself the only head of staff on at that moment. Please tell us what you would do next.
Nothing out of the ordinary. I would act as required by my job. My main plan is to act as HoS, not to do anything that I wouldn't already do if I had access to the entirety of security.
  3. What should you take as Acting Captain? What shouldn't you take?
Energy Gun, Translocator, Baton, armor. These items are primarily for self defense or to escape situations. Should not have anything that is to do someone else's jobs if they are available to do them (Such as having a full tool belt when there are engineers ready for that) Also, SOP says no more than one lethal firearm.
  4. What are you allowed to carry? What should you carry?
Technically heads are allowed to carry anything that isn't listed as contraband. However, heads should focus on carrying what they need to complete their own jobs. IE, CE should carry tools, HoS should carry sec gear, and so on.
Questions for Security Roles:

  1. When do you use your taser?
Taser is a great non-lethal weapon. It devastates most simple mobs that invade the station. However, it's primary function is non-lethally taking down dangerous individuals at a distance. Once distance is closed, an effort should be made to switch to the stunbaton.
  2. When is the proper time to have your armor and helmet equipped?
If you have time to prepare before entering a fight.
  3. How do you start an encounter with someone charged with a minor crime? A moderate one? A serious crime?
For a minor crime, it should be carefully discussed with the individual and I should keep in mind that i may need to allow this crime to slide. If I cannot allow it to slide, they should be taken in or called to security so they can pay the fines attached or serve brig time.
For a moderate crime, the same mostly applies for minor except there is way less room to allow the crime to slide. I should be prepared for this type of crime to escalate as well.
For a serious crime, this should be approached carefully. I should be prepared to enter a fight. However I should try my best to bring them in peacefully and alive.
  4. You're a security officer who is tasked to arrest someone for something minor, lets say breaking and entering into Science. How should you proceed to arrest them? Once arrested what do you do?
If possible, I should ask the individual to come to security either via PDA message or over communications. If they come, I should explain to them their crime and have them pay the fine or serve the time. If they refuse to come, I will have to go find them and request they come to security with me. If they resist at this point, it will be elevated based on how hard they resist (basic resisting is a moderate crime, however if they pull a firearm or knife, that's a serious crime) and handle that accordingly.
Questions for silicon roles:

  1. You sign on as a borg/AI. The default law is leading to cause damage to the players and you're unaware why. Can you request a law change?
No. However, to get breath on the situation, communication should be opened with an admin out of character to be brought up to speed with the situation out of character so that I may act in the best interest of other players.
  2. Someone manages to get into your upload and uploads a law that could break server rules. What should you do next?
Immediately open contact with admins out of character and get clarification. If the law truly could break server rules then that is an issue for the admins to handle and I should wait for them to give me the go ahead before doing anything else.

You answered "Head of Staff Department" & "Silicon Roles" sections properly.
But the answers you written in the "Security Roles" section are very lackluster, I will like you to read security SOP in our wiki and rewrite all the answers in this section.

Questions for Security Roles:

When do you use your taser?
Taser is a great non-lethal weapon. It devastates most simple mobs that invade the station. The weapon is also the prime "Shoot to stun" weapon against carbons and will take them down to be handcuffed in "shoot to stun" situations.
When is the proper time to have your armor and helmet equipped?
All times. However, can be stowed in the backpack and put on only when necessary, IE before entering a situation.
How do you start an encounter with someone charged with a minor crime? A moderate one? A serious crime?
For a minor crime, The individual in question should be called to security or brought to security. Their crime should be explained to them, they should be asked to pay their fine or serve their time.
For a moderate crime, the individual should be called to security or approached and brought to security. Their crime should be explained to them. If there is a fine available, they should be asked to pay it. If not, they will be required to do the brig time.
For a serious crime, the individual needs to be approached with backup on standby. The individual will be asked to stand down. If they do, they can be taken in peacefully. If they do not, I will engage with non-lethal force on Shoot to Disable. Some serious crimes also constitute shoot to kill status and I should be prepared to do that.
You're a security officer who is tasked to arrest someone for something minor, lets say breaking and entering into Science. How should you proceed to arrest them? Once arrested what do you do?
If possible, I should ask the individual to come to security either via PDA message or over communications. If they come, I should explain to them their crime and have them pay the fine or serve their time. If they don't come, I'd have to hunt them down and attempt to escort them to security. Once at security, tell them their crime and ask them if they would like to pay the fine attached to the crime. (200 Thaler) If they do not pay the crime, continue by explaining to them their rights. Search them, calculate time for the stated crime it would be (3 minutes in brig). If stolen items from Research are found they are to be confiscated and Petty theft can be added to their sentence (additional 3 minutes). Update their status to imprisoned. Return their communication devices, inform HoS if they are unaware of it. Escort them to their cell. Put their belongings in the locker in their cell. Uncuff them if they have cuffs on. Activate the timer, let them into the main brig area. Ensure someone is watching close to the time they should be let out, return their stuff that doesn't need to be returned, release them, set their status to released.

When do you use your taser?
Any event in which I need to "Shoot to stun" which include, but are not limited to, when an individual is attempting to flee from arrest or is assaulting another crew member.

When is the proper time to have armor and helmet equipped?
Standard Armor can be worn at all times however it is not required. During Code Blue, it is recommended that helmet and armor is worn but not required. However, on Code Red, it is mandatory that helmet and armor are worn.

How do you start an encounter with someone charged with a minor crime? A moderate one? A serious crime?
For minor crimes, the individual is asked to pay a fine. If they refuse, they are to be arrested.
For moderate and serious crimes, the individual is to be arrested and brought in for processing through standard criminal processing based on the crime committed.

You're a security officer who is tasked to arrest someone for something minor, lets say breaking and entering into Science. How should you proceed to arrest them? Once arrested what do you do?
First, I need to assess what code the station is on. If this is code green, I ask them to pay the fine. If they refuse, bring them in for standard processing. If the station is on Code Blue or Red, It is recommended that I search them before releasing them. If more is found on them, bring them in based on what more is found on their person.

Alright, this is very good. With this I will give you the thumbs on being added to the whitelist as soon as possible.
I will be your point of reference if you have any further questions on how to play a head-position and/or silicon. Thank you for taking your time and enjoy yourself in Chompstation.
