Why do you wish to be in the position you choose?: 
CHOMP has become one of my biggest hobbies in recent time, plus a lot of the people on the station, Discord and SS13, have become my friend through IC interactions and OOC interactions. So being able to help the station run smoothly and ensure everyone's safe and happy while online would be a pleasure!

How long have you played on the server for?: 
Only about three months now. I joined sometime in January.

Nope!

Not on SS13 no. For Discord? A few but I don't think that's what's being asked.

What do you want to gain from being staff? 
Nothing? I just want to be able to help when needed and ensure the server runs smoothly. I'm online often enough that I can see myself being useful.

How do you see yourself in the future of the server? 
I'm not certain I grasp the question, a regular of the server who helps out during events and ensure things run smoothly? That's my goal and I don't think that'll change anytime soon.

What do you want to offer to the community? 
Aside from occasionally helping with bugfixes, sfx, and sprites- I just want to be able to help out in any way around the server. Making sure everyone feels safe when they get on CHOMPStation, the server and/or the station.

PDT "nighttime" is when I'm awake though 100% of the time. My standard is just 22-14. Anytime between 10PM one day to 2PM the next.

Not on SS13, as for Discord, I could point you to Patchie of Patchwork Heart, the streamer. Otherwise I mostly just help out in a couple smaller communities here and there. The only large community I helped in was TheVolgun's Discord server. But I lost interest in that content and left pretty early on (before he blew up).

I'm again not sure I track. I don't intend to be viewed differently. I just want to be able to help and ensure things run smoothly. I guess I'd like to be viewed as someone who's easy to come to with questions? But, I feel that's a common goal of a lot of moderation staff.

Why do you wish to be in the position you choose?: 
I want to give back to the community and be in a position where I can offer more help than I currently can. Rather it means by aiding them learn the game, or making sure to keep the peace. I have enjoyed watching the server grow and change in all sorts of different ways in the last three years that I have been a part of this community. I believe that there will be challenges in the future that the skills that I poses that will be a valuable resource to the team. I also have a few friends on the staff team and from what they have told me that they do, it sounds like something I would very much enjoy doing.

I have been playing on the server for over three years.

I want to gain a new perspective as a player. Being able to learn different ropes and learn how to help the community in more ways than I am currently able to. I am very enthusiastic about the opportunity to be able to help with events as well. I feel that previously I was not ready for the task of being able to help mod a server, but after learning a bit more about myself I feel that I have what it takes to do it. I would also love to improve my skills in conflict resolution, helping people, as well as learning more about the player base. 
 
How do you see yourself in the future of the server? 
I see myself being a skilled mod on staff, who becomes a respected member of the community while continuing to learn new skills and ways to handle situations as time goes on. I want to continue to keep the server a safe place for everyone while possibly making new connections along the way. 
 
What do you want to offer to the community? 
I hope to offer the community a way to be able to have their voices heard even more on the staff channels, as well as shed an even brighter light onto the server. But overall, I just want to be another person online, able to jump in and help people that are in need.

Why do you wish to be in the position you choose?: I have spent a good amount of time on this server and have come to love it and the community within it, I have put thought into whether I should apply for Dev or Mod and decided that with past experience I would be better fit for Mod over Dev.


How long have you played on the server for?: I don't remember exactly how long, I'd have to guess about 2 1/2 years. My earliest Discord message was 07/15/2020 so at least since then.


Have you ever been banned, warned, or otherwise reprimanded by admins? If so, why?: I have been spoken to with questions regarding situations before. Used the wrong intent with a baton a long while back. I've made my mistakes and have learned from them, I have never had a repeat. Full on warnings, bans, or punishments I have not received.


Have you ever been banned, warned, or otherwise reprimanded by admins on another server? If so, why?: I don't really play other servers regularly. Never been any of these, boinked due to ahelps I made on one though never boinked due to my own actions.

I have never been a developer though have been Moderator, Admin, Head Admin, Owner on a good number of communities. A good 14-15 years total with them all.


What do you want to gain from being staff?: It is in my hopes gain the experience to be a true help to those in this community. We all start somewhere, and if I'm to learn anywhere this community would be the best for it I feel.

How do you see yourself in the future of the server?: Regardless of how this application turns out I will continue playing on this server, I have not been able to get as attached to a server as I have with Chomps. I don't see myself leaving anytime soon.

Why do you wish to be in the position you choose?:
I've been playing SS13 on and off for well over 7 years now, and what usually drives me away from the game is being unable to find a good community.  Since finding Chomp, I've felt like the server has been a safe space for me and given me that good community; and I want to give back now.  I've been a moderator across various platforms, games, and servers over the years, and it's something I really enjoy doing.  Most recently, I was a game moderator for a game called "Foxhole" for well over a year.  I eventually became one of the senior mods and helped onboard the new moderators as they came about.

I also work in emergency response, so dealing with chaotic events is something I deal with on a day-to-day basis. I've learned how to not only be confident in myself, but know how to keep my cool when the going gets tough.  I've found that these skills directly relate to moderating, and I find the entire thing a nice break from my normal day-to-day.


How long have you played on the server for?:
About 1 year now. I took a little break over the last few months, but part of pacing myself now will help ensure I'm around for the long run.

Not that I can remember.

Yes, many years ago and on another account. I was really new to the game and a friend of mine and me were being stupid and self-antag'd.  I was also kicked off another server near the same time for the way I handled a mutiny as the Captain.  I feel there is no need for me to hide these mistakes as they happened many years ago and I've learned some big lessons from these experiences. I haven't repeated these mistakes since, and I think I'm better for it now.


Have you ever been staff on another server? If yes, how long?
Yes:
- The original Bay Station 13 for about 2-3 months, just after the major split that created Polaris
- Skyrat for 1 month (I can provide a couple references for this one)


What do you want to gain from being staff?
I just enjoy helping out at places I like to frequent. I honestly enjoy being on staff, and helping out at places like this just makes me feel like I've done something with my day.  One of my favorite things to do after a night shift was to answer all the leftover mod mail tickets in Foxhole until I couldn't keep my eyes open any more. I answered the second highest number of tickets in that game, and I believe I was somewhere around 3rd highest at Skyrat.  I love coming to the server, and I'd just like to contribute more than just being a player.


How do you see yourself in the future of the server?
I really enjoyed helping out with events at previous SS13 servers.  I'd love to help out with those in any way, shape, or form.  Eventually, if things go my way I think I could really sink my teeth into being an event manager, or even just helping the other event managers with their events.

What do you want to offer to the community?
Just another calm voice that is ready to help out.  Sometimes just lending a listening ear is all people need, and this can go a long way.  Other times getting feedback is critical.  I want to be in a position where I can help people and feel like someone they can trust to talk to.

Well, my schedule "Cascades". We work two days, immediately followed by two nights, and then four days off.  So, if we start our first day shift on a Monday, our first day shift next week will be on a Tuesday. The schedules cascades until eventually, several weeks later, it resets.  I'm usually the most active between shifts and try to enjoy my days off doing other things. That said, I still play games in the evenings, so you can expect to see me on days off as well.

Why do you wish to be in the position you choose?:
My primary want to be on staff in a Developer role stems from wanting to implement small, but interesting things for the players.  Currently, while I can freely develop and add features to the codebase in my current role as a player, I would like perspective of what the staff wishes to make in order to drive interaction and roleplaying opportunities.  While I do not have in-depth knowledge of the optimizations of the code, or proficiency with the BYOND engine that other developers may have, I do have some creativity that I wish to impart onto the codebase of Chompstation, as well as experience in porting features from other servers and ensuring that they either function as expected, or function in a way that coincides with the culture of the server itself.

How long have you played on the server for?:

I have played on the server for a couple of weeks near the end of 2019(I even have a PR on the old codebase here as a timestamp of around the time I was playing: https://github.com/CHOMPstation/CHOMPstation/pull/863 ).  I have returned to be a more consistent player around the summer of 2020 and have only briefly left the server for, at most, a couple of weeks at a time to take breaks from the community in order to keep my perspective fresh.

To my knowledge, I have not been banned or warned for my behavior on the SS13 server.  I have received a few notifications and removal of my posts on the general Chompers Discord for potentially offensive content, as well as the safety ban of my discord account when it was compromised.

I have received a few warnings on Citadel RP for minor infractions that range from, not having my character's Security Records filled out when playing a Head of Staff, and using a "emag" on a player borg during a private scene.  To my knowledge, I have not been banned from any server for my behavior.

What do you want to gain from being staff?

A community that puts the server message as its first and foremost goal, along with features and gameplay that encourage this.

How do you see yourself in the future of the server?

With whispers and rumors of Space Station 14 being on the proverbial brink of being feature-full, I hope to impart some of my technical expertise in porting over the features we currently have on our SS13 codebase, to the more modern platform.  For the more immediate future, I hope to come up with more small features to get characters talking more often without being intrusive to others that are already content.

I like helping people. Whether I'm trying to help walk people through in game mechanics, trying to help people maintain immersion by coming up with IC reasoning for things, running around to save people, or just taking a back seat to allow people to enjoy themselves and scenes to play out or stepping in as a mediator, or just being one to listen when someones having a bad day, It's just something I like doing, and I feel it'd be a great way for me to give back to the community that's been so welcoming to me in turn.

Never been staff before on another server, I've played Virgo a couple of times, but Chomp has been my first foray into SS13, and one i'm quite happy with!


What do you want to gain from being staff?
To be able to help people! i'm often on at odd hours, and frequently during the day (10am-5pm GMT, usually going on later depending on the day), often when no other admins or such are online. If i can help resolve disputes, smooth over server or OOC schenanigans by fixing issues, and helping people enjoy their time on server (and even when other mods / admins are online.. taking a little of their burden so they can enjoy themselves a little more too), then i'm all for it.

How do you see yourself in the future of the server?
Having to take a little more care with what i get up to when other mods aren't about, so that I can provide quick response where and as needed, but otherwise doing what i currently try to do now~ assist people with issues where i see them (and have the ability to help), contribute to peoples events and scenes where i can, and otherwise just ensuring everyone (myself included) is having a good time on the server.

What do you want to offer to the community?
I'd like to offer someone who will always try to be fair, as anyone who asks me will know, whilst I will always empathise with people, i've no issue with stating facts and providing objective arguments, even to friends where i think it's warranted.

I'd like to offer someone who knows when to employ tact, salving things before they spill out into OOC drama.

I'd like to offer someone who's around alot of the time when other admins aren't, to help with mundane things like spawning cookies in response to prayers to troubleshooting mechanical issues, or helping to put people back on track when the server goes pear shaped (or tesh shaped, or dogborg shaped).

And most importantly, I'd like to offer someone who's in it for the satisfaction of helping people, it makes my day when i can do things and help people out, whether in game IC, OOC, i've started assisting with the wiki, and generally just try to help wherever i can.

Whilst not directly relevant I have been a onboarding instructor for a online gaming community (Taw.net) for a period of 6-9 months total, including the drilling of new recruits, assisting with them settling in, and towards the end of my taw career teaching and training new drill instructors to do the same as the head instructor for my unit, though this was a period of a couple of years ago, so getting ahold of people who could vouch for me would be difficult (but not impossible).

A set of scales. As moderators we're here to help things run smoothly, where the balance is upended, we help put things back the way they were. Where the two scales are at odds, we try to find the balance. What do you know of their mechanics?: Typically charge like the synths. Able to form down to a lesser mob (protean blob). Repairs via using the stored metal, as while numerous other sheets (such as Uranium, Gold, Silver, etc) provides a buff as the carbon mob state. Able to form as a rig suit to provide protection to the wearers.

What do you know of their lore?: There are little to none about the specific lore unlike Vox, Xenochimera or Xenohybrid, etc, aside from being an advanced nanite swarms. Further detailed lore per individuals shows different stories about their own characters because as such.
Base grounds of the nanite swarm, however, shares the same. An advanced nanite swarms being capable to work as a group by the cybertronic brain, while as few 'organs' maintaining the swarms in order.

What idea did you have for your character?: Basically getting the CitRP character of mine to here, so here is their lore.

Solomon Albright, probably about the age of 50 by the period time of the year 2564, felt their physical body form's limit. Or, a mind-copied version of Solomon Albright, that is. His past and his birth climb all the way up to 50 years ago, when he was a simple human researcher, aging to 70. Of course, thanks to technology these days, peoples can live up to 150 years. Hell, or even 200 if one really doesn't matter about their clone, constantly vending out the clones to harvest their organs. But Solomon didn't like that. No, it wasn't about immortality, nor ethics. No, it was about time. Time lacks every single time he has to visit the hospital, vend out a new clone's organs, and replace his old ones. He just wants to 'COMPLETELY' concentrate on the research and research only. Or, perhaps, have a little time of relief; But his human body can't handle that. The space is vast and wide, and there is simply no time to waste for him to know every single thing about the university. So, he made a choice - Uploading his mind up to the robot's body, and continue on his researcher's life.
That was 50 years ago, and yet - Right now, the greed for knowledge once more begins to overwhelm his mind, and even his synthetic body begins to dragging his step, away from the research for the maintenance. Sure, he doesn't have to pick a queue ticket from the hospital, wait for an hour or two to make a week or two appointments for his body. But, still... He's still thirsty for knowledge. Now, waiting for an hour or two for the maintenance of his body; Welding his body and re-wiring the circuits, is too long for him. He needed something more... Much more advanced body form, to shorten the waste of time even more than ever it can possibly be. Literally cutting down to a mere minute to maintain his body form. And that way, he wouldn't waste his precious time.

Though - One thing he may or may not ever know within his lifetime. It's not the maintenance that is dragging him away from the research; It's his babbling mouth that constantly wants to chit-chat and babble the words out. And most likely, even with his new body form - His mouth will never stop.
