Shadekin Character

What is this character's backstory? Alternatively, list out the idea you had for your character: Tricky is a character idea that heavily focuses on the Red-eyed aspect/adaptation. Outwardly directing his focus into that of being verbally sly and silver-tongued, desiring to appeal and be friendly to as many beings as he can, forging connections. Tricky considers these interactions to be his form of "hunting". Very much acting akin to a angler-fish type of personality, as his pure desire is to either benefit himself with those connections, or to mark easier prey with each passing "friendly" conversation. Their joy comes from being a nigh-pathological liar in the way that they take delight in their two-faced hunting efforts.
Tricky is a intentionally nefarious though non-openly confrontative type, seeking to actively engage and prey upon people's more bored tendencies as to mark them as "friends/food". Very vore-oriented alongside player interactivity focused. They will likely be played or atleast desirably seen as a talkative and conversative Shade-kin when out and about, directly being helpful when he can when amongst groups, however leaning towards the "Cruel Pred" aspect when it comes to nomming those whom he's tricked. A playful two-faced trickster type. I do plan on having this character progressively develop as time goes on, since they are very dependent on being interactable and not one-note.

Why do you want to play this species?:
I would desire to play a Shadekin to bring further versatile interaction, building depth of sorts via the unique context of the lore. Focusing on the traits that Shadekin have to bring interest within conversation, and or more vorish aspects. Enrichment with dynamic roleplay possibilities amongst the station.

What will this character bring to the station's roleplaying environment?:

A very outwardly extrovertive type to those whom have grown bored, or are not doing much. Being focused on being friendly and inclusive to pretty much anyone as to engage with his character. A focus on the aspect of dialogue and interest via conversation, with the later appealing to more of the appeal of more malicious/mischevious pred-types.
Tricky will mostly 85% of the time be played like a social and welcoming influence to other players, as their yearning desire and empowerment comes from their own two-faced "hunting" pattern which will be likely only exclusively be seen during scenes or one on one interactions. A very strange anomaly whom has a odd fascination for the company of those amongst real-space despite his oddities.

How will the species influence the way you roleplay this character?:
Tricky is very centered around the idea of Shade-kin and specifically red-eye lore, as it is the basis for the character. The lore and core idea of what the species is greatly influences the character's demeanor and desires. A mostly mysterious trickster whom takes alittle too much fun in playing around with people, getting to know them along the way. In short, by following said lore alongside the rules about them, it serves as a way to bring a unique type of being for others to interact with.

Shadekin Lore

Shadekins are very prone to change by their ability to adapt, but what is the most noticeable change that can happen on one?
The directly most notable change is the altering of their eye color, alongside their other physical traits such as height and bulk. Being incredibly adaptative creatures it is noted that they take many shapes and sizes due to that vast adaptive sense to change to befit their environment appropriately such as terrain, fights and ETC.

Shadekins have a very unique ability to phase, but what are the limiting factors that prevent them from using it?
Being able to phase-shift is reliant and or haltered by a few things, such as sight of other beings around them and the amount of light in the area, the brighter the light or well-lit the area is, the more affected the ability is. Cameras and people keeping their eyes on them and observing also halts the process and trait entirely.

In general, shadekins take pride and respect in their names, but what, who, and how do they get a name?
A Shadekin's name can be given to them via accomplishments, either given by peers whom witnessed those happenings, or the name being given by tendencies that the Shadekin has. Such names being highly important to the Shadekin as they will seek to live up to that aspect of themselves, whether or not it was given to them by themselves or another.

Shadekin Mechanics

What abilities does a shadekin have in their kit?
Dark Respite - Whilst within the dark, Shadekin can heal major wounds that they have sustained gradually.
Dark Tunneling - A trait that allows a Shadekin to tunnel/make a portal to the shadekin hideout. Being limited to 1 per shadekin.
Create Shade - It creates a circle of darkness around the Shadekin.
Regenerate Other - Upon touch, it will heal the other being for a short period, being only a few seconds.
Phase Shift - The ability to phase in and out of reality, being dependent on energy levels and darkness.
Mechanically, what do different eye colors do on a shadekin?
Currently the eye color has no mechanical effect or change to anything. Currently is only IC/character-wise.

What effects does light do on a shadekin, and how bothersome is general station lights to one?
Light is limiting to the rate of which energy can recharge for the Shadekin, however beyond that, the normal lighting/station lights don't cause pain or true bother beyond the energy limitations.
This is pretty good, I am curious about meeting Tricky now~
Either or, whitelist approved.
